G.E.A.A. Field Resilient Redesign Project

G.E.A.A. Field is being redesigned for our community’s future. Improvements will help manage flooding from rain and from the ocean, and reduce heat in the summer, as part of the City's efforts to increase climate resilience and public safety. It is also an opportunity to redesign the park to better meet the community’s needs.

The park is located at the last segment of the Strawberry Brook Conduit near where it empties to the Saugus River, and this historic park was formerly a wetland. In the future, flooding and heat effects are expected to worsen. A variety of nature-based solutions for climate resilience are being designed to address these impacts.

A survey is being distributed in January 2024 to collect community input on park concepts! Watch this short video overview of the planned field improvements and design options before taking this short survey: tinyurl.com/LynnGEAA. Please take the survey before Feb. 9 and share your input on your preferred park improvements, recreational activities and uses, and environmental benefits.

Additional project updates will be shared at community events throughout the spring, as designs are refined based on your input.
